Just think of things as experiments.
This is something i recently heard Tim Ferris discuss with Ryan Holiday.
When we start a project or business we think in terms of forever and certainities but just experiment first.
Instead of “I am starting a podcast”, try “I am going to do 10 episodes of a podcast”.
If you enjoy it and it is received well then you can carry on for longer. It reduces the sense of complete failure as you can end it on your terms.
Look at each decision on a small scale and build to the big goal.
It might only be something you do for the next few years. It doesn’t have to be for life.
How can you know that you want to run your arts and crafts shop without trying first?
